This award recognises Fluidigm as the supplier with the largest percentage increase in mass spectrometer citations over the past year, suggesting it might be about to take off in this market in a big way.
Founded in 1999, Fluidigm is a USA headquartered company. Its mass cytometer, Helios, uses a mass spectrometry technique to determine cell properties at a single cell level. Metal-conjugated antibodies allow clear quantification of targets, with less signal overlap.
Dr Andrew Chalmers, founder of CiteAb, said: “Congratulations to Fluidigm on winning Mass Spectrometer Supplier to Watch in 2020. The multiplexed images which come from Fluidigm's instruments are very impressive and it's great to see the company is doing well in the mass spectrometry market. We look forward to watching its progress over the next few years!”
